Shabe Siah
Shabe Siah is a drama about an Iranian woman facing execution, whose story unfolds through flashbacks on her final day. Inspired by true events, the film addresses gender inequality and institutional violence with an intimate, respectful approach.
I took on full production responsibilities, from crew coordination and scheduling to budgeting and post-production. Producing a film set in Iran — a country I had never visited and a language I didn’t speak — was both a creative and personal challenge. It required cultural sensitivity, research, and deep collaboration.
This project taught me what it truly means to carry a story: to listen, to empathise, and to guide a team with humanity. Shabe Siah shaped me as a producer and reminded me why I chose this profession — to give voice to stories that need to be told.
